Pressed Memories of a Distant Sky

This mixed-media work brings together pressed wildflowers and soft watercolor washes to create a quiet dialogue between the tangible and the imagined. Delicate stems and blossoms rise from an earthy foreground, while translucent blue mountains and a pastel sky drift gently behind them. Small birds scattered across the open space evoke movement, freedom, and passing time. By preserving fragile plant forms against an expansive landscape, Ashma Izzat reflects on memory, impermanence, and the way nature leaves impressions—both physical and emotional—long after moments have passed.
